PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over an important meeting at the Pakistan Cricket Headquarters at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore regarding the modernization of three major venues in the country. The meeting was attended by representatives of National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK), PCB Infrastructure Director Nasir Hameed and others.
The PCB Chairman emphasized the need for the upgrade of Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, National Stadium Karachi and Pindi Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi to be completed before ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
In this regard, the authorities concerned have been asked to submit a comprehensive plan for the modernization of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore within three days, followed by plans for the other two venues.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that fans should be facilitated at all costs and their ease should be kept in mind while designing the upgrade plan. The capacity of the Gaddafi Stadium should be increased and this modernization process must be quick without compromising quality.
